Transcript:

Deed of settlement 30 March 1830 between

David North Oldtown Westmeath and Catherine North otherwise Pim his wife 1st part

Anthony Cooper of Blackhall? St Dublin and John Pim of Newpark Co Kildare 2nd part and

John Joshua Pim Dublin 3rd part

reciting amongst other things that …? And execution of certain Articles of Intermarriage the said David North & Catherine Pim agree vest the land hereafter in the said Anthony Cooper and John Pim as Trustees for the purposes of said Articles of Intermarriage and to declare more fully the Trusts thereof pursuant to the promises those contained for that purpose

said Indenture witnessed that in pursuance of said agreement and ? Intermarriage Articles of the 22 Aug 1816 and in order to carry the same into effect as also of the sum of ten shillings

they the said David and Catherine granted bargained sold and ? released and confirmed unto the said Anthony Cooper and John Pim in their actual  … by virtue of a bargain .. lease for a year to them thereof ... that and those Lands of Old Town commonly called Old Town division of the west containing 61 acres late Irish plantation measure .. in Co Westmeath with the mansion house and offices lately erected and built thereon to hold unto the said Anthony Cooper and John Pim and survivors of them heirs and for and during the natural life and lives of John Roger North eldest son of said David and Catherine John Joshua Pim brother of Catherine and Catherine North and survivors and for and during the natural life and times of all and every such othere person and persons as shall and may from time to time forever .. for perpetual renewal contained

upon Trust to the use of the said David and his assigns during the term of his natural life to take and receive the rents …  /  and ... to his own use without impeachment and after the decease of the said David to the use of Catherine and her assigns during the natural life of Catherine to permit and suffer the said Catherine and her own proper use and behoof and from and immediately after the decease of Catherine and David for the use of the first son and every othere son and sons of the body of the said David North and body of said Catherine North lawfully begotten or to be begotton intact ? male and in default of such intact  ? male as aforesaid to and for the use and behoof of all and the daughter and daughters of the body of David North now begotton or hereafter to be lawfully begotton to be equally divided in Taib? females and in default of such aforsd male or female surviving at the time of the death of David forever

and upon further Trust? To the use of the said John Joshua Pim his Execs Adms and Asigns for 99 years by sale demise and mortgage of the said hereby granted and released premises? or any part thereof to raise a sum of money not exceeding £200 as and for the portion or portions of the younger child or children of the said David and Catherine of the said marriage to be paid to him or her or them in such time and manner proportion as the said David North shall by any deed or instrument executed in his life time in the presence of one or more credible witnesses as by his last will and testament executed in the presence of three or more credible witnesses direct limit and appoint and in case of default of such appointment by the said David North and that the said Catherine should survive the said David then that it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Catherine North by deed or will or by her last will and testament to be executed in manner aforesaid to direct limit and appoint said sum of £200 to amongst such younger children and a release from David and Catherine to John Pim his heirs etc

and the said lands of Banaughra in the ? of the said John Pim off and from the payment of .. in the sum of £150 late currency to which the said Catherine became entitled by the will of Robert Pim on the death of Margaret Pim sister of said Robert Pim

and which said deed and this memorial as to the execution thereof by the said Daivd and Catherine is witnessed by Gustavus Pilkington and Nicholas Pilkington
