Richard Auchmuty XE "Auchmuty:Richard" of Dublin fourth son of Captain John Achmuty of Newtownflood and Isabella Stirling his wife
Dublin pedigree: “Captain Richard Auchmuty or Achmuty of Dublin 3rd son will dat 5 Aug 1756 pr’d 17 Feb 1759 buried Jan 1759 at 67 in Old church of Lisbrack M.I.”
Will of Captain John of Newtownflood 1726: “to the only use and behoof of my third son Richard Auchmuty”
Helena Forbes Auchmuty: “Richard second son of Capt John and Miss Stirling never married, he lived to be elderly, was a well informed gentlemanly man, he had some quarrel with his brothers and gave a lease forever of Newtown Flood after the death of his father Capt John who died in Dublin of a decline, to the Bond family He never forgave himself and tis supposed hastened his death pulling (putting?) such a property out of his family.”
Bessie Auchmuty quoted in TGA p 53: “Cap’n John had a son Richard and another Forbes both lived to a good old age and died unmarried”
His Will, dated 1756 is in the National Archives of Ireland, Dublin.
