Townley Ahmuty XE "Ahmuty:Townley" , Wine Merchant, fourth son of Thomas Auchmuty and Dorcas Townley his wife.

 

Dublin pedigree:  “Townley Ahmuty of Dublin Mer’t , mentioned in his father’s will: eyer and residuary legatee of his Mother Dorcas: buried in St Catherine’s: will dat 12 Jan 1776 prd Dec 1778 == Margaret dau of Edm’d French XE "French:Margaret"  of Dublin 1st wife == Letitia Wetherall XE "Wetherall:Letitia"  or Witheral of St Ann’s Dublin, widow, mar lic 11 Aug 1753 2nd wife.”

 

Thomas Gordon Auchmuty p 35: -  sons, ….  and Townley a Merchant

 

Helena Forbes Auchmuty:  “Townley The youngest son of Thomas Auchmuty and Dorcas, was a wine merchant and lived in Dublin in very good circumstances, and built a large house in Meath Street which from change of fashion is now considered as little worth, he married twice, first a Miss French, he had by her three sons and a daughter. ”  and “The second wife was a widow Wetherall.  She had two sons John … and Robert.”
