“Lieut George BOLTON H.C.European Regiment Bachelor and Fanny Ahmuty Spinster were married at Berhampore by Licence from the supreme Court on the 1st March 1818 by Wm Eales, Chaplain at Berhampore. This marriage was solemnised between us, George BOLTON, Fanny Ahmuty in the Presence of Jno. Ahmuty, Wm Luck “
There seems to scope for confusion between this Fanny, natural dau of John (96), and the other Fanny, natural dau of his brother Richard (97).
The Gentteman's Magazine Marriages 21 December 1827: At St Mary's, Marylebone the Reverend George Radcliffe to Fanny daughter of the late Richard Achmuty esq late of the Bengal Civil Estabtishment is clear enough on that marriage.
What is not clear is which Fanny m George Bolton. As a Jno Ahmuty was present at the Fanny/George Bolton marriage, it seems more likely than not that that Fanny was dau of John (96): she had a father John and a brother John (170), while Richard's Fanny had no Johns in her immediate family.
