Transcription:

A memorial of indented deeds of lease & release dated respectively the twenty first & twenty second days of July one thousd seven hund & fifty seven made between

Thomas Smyth of Drumcree in the county of Westmeath esqr of the one part &

William North of Kilbride in the sd county gent of the other part

witnesseth that the sd Thos Smyth for the considns therein mentd hath demised granted sett and to farm let unto the sd Wm North (in his poss~ion then being by virtue of sd deed of lease) & to his heirs all that part of the town & lands of Kilbride & Tonlegee in poss~ion of the sd Wm North contg two hundred & twenty three acres be the same more or less, situate in the barony of Fertullagh & county of Westmeath aforesd

To hold to the sd Wm North his heirs & asss (except as therein excepted) for the lives of him the sd Wm North, Roger North his eldest son & John Gerrard, eldest son of Saml Gerrard of Parcellstown in the county of Westmeath aforesd gent & the survr of them

& for & during the lives of such other persons as by virtue of the covents of renewal therein contained should successively & for ever hereafter be added thereto

yielding and paying to the sd Thos Smyth his heirs & ass the yearly rent of one hundred & two pounds & six pence payable half yearly

wch said deeds & this meml are witnessed by John North of Fairfield in the Kings county gent David Bozeman steward to the sd Thos Smyth and Alexr Crookshank of the city of Dublin gent
