Deed 1757 434 125350 in the Registry of Deeds

 

Transcription

A memorial of indented deeds of lease and release dated respecrively the twenty first and twenty second days of July one thousd seven hundred and fifty seven made between

 

Thomas Smyth of Drumcree in the county of Westmeath esqr of the one part and

 

John North of Fairfield in the King’s county gent of the other part

 

witnesseth that the said Thomas Smyth for the considerations therein mentioned hath demised granted sett and to farm let unto the said John North (in his possession then being by virtue of said deed of lease) and to his heirs all that part of the town and lands of Kilbride known by the name of Whitewell in poss~ion of the sd John North containing two hundred and forty acres be the same more or less situate in the barony of Fertullagh and county of Westmeath aforesd

 

To hold to the said John North his heirs and assigns (except as therein is excepted) for and during the natural lives and life of Roger North now of the city of Dublin eldest son of the said John North Charles North third son of Roger North of Newcastle in the county of Westmeath gent and James Macabe of Bracklin in the Kings county gent and the survivrs and survivor of them

 

and for and during the lives or such other person and persons as by virtue of the covenants of renewal therein contained should successively and for ever hereafter be added thereto

 

yielding & paying unto the said Thomas Smyth his heirs and assigns the yearly rent of ninety seven pounds nineteen shillings and six pence ster payable half yearly

 

which said deeds and this memorial are witnessed by William North of Kilbride in said county of Westmeath gent David Bozeman steward to the said Thomas Smyth and Alexander Crookshank of the city of  Dublin gent
