Transcription:

A memorial of a deed dated the fifth day of Feb^ry one thousand seven hundred & seventy four

whereby Elie North of Ballyown [sic – for Ballyowen] gent in the Kings county did agree with Phillip Sherlock for the lands of Ballyown [sic – for Ballyowen] in the Kings county whereon the s^d Elie North then lived

that s^d Phillip Sherlock was to take it into his possⁿ on the twenty fifth of March then next paying one pound seven shillings p^r acre yearly & every year during the term of years which s^d Elie North had from John Ledbeater dec^ed

and it was further agreed upon that s^d Phillip Sherlock was to give liberty to s^d North to live in the house in Balliowin [sic- for Ballyowen] if occasion required that is to say to have liberty of two rooms the one over the parlour and a store room gratis for one year

which s^d articles of agreement are witnessed by Daniel Homan of Drimcooly [sic – for Drumcooly] in the Kings county

and this mem^l is witnessed by the s^d Dan^l Homan and by  John Delany of Killane in the Kings county aforesaid
