1775 between Hannah North widow of late Rev James North, Summerhill Co. Tipperary and  Michael Lewis of Myrtle Grove  Kings Co. To Hannah £40 jointure annually for life. To Elizabeth Wilkinson, granddaughter £10 on life of Mrs Ann Wilkinson other g’mother. To Michael Lewis all lands & holdings of Crottymore, Cork and Summerhill, Tipp.

 

Transcription:

A memorial of a deed poll or article of agreement dated the twenty eighth day of August one thousand seven hundred and seventy five made between

Mrs Hannah North widow of the late reverend James North of Summerhill in the county of Tipperary of the one part and

Mich^l Lewis of Myrtlegrove in the Kings county gent of the other part

whereby the said Mich^l Lewis did settle on the s^d Hannah North forty pounds st^r for each and every year during her natural life to commence from the first day of May then last as a jointure for her payable quarterly as therein ment^d

and that the said Mich^l Lewis should pay unto Mrs Elizabeth Wilkinson grand dau^r of the said Hannah North ten pounds ste^r for each and every year during the life of Mrs Ann Wilkinson of the city of Dublin grandmother to said Elizabeth Wilkinson provided said Ann Wilkinson do not outlive said Hannah North

and by said deed the said Hannah North for herself her heirs exe^crs adm^ors and assigns in consideration of the above jointure did set transfer and make over unto the said Mich^l Lewis all her rights title and interest of the lands and holdings in the county and city of Cork called Crottymore with all the rent and arrears of rent due thereon and also the house and lands of Summerhill with all the …. household furniture plate crop of every kind and every thing in her the s^d Hannah North’s poss^ion

also the land of Mrs Cornwallis then in her poss^ion

for one hundred pounds ste^r  the said Lewis paying all the debt due by her the said Hannah

which said deed is witnessed by Michael Broadest of Borrisokane in the county of Tipperary plasterer and by Mich^l Meagher of Myrtlegrove in the Kings county servant

and this mem^l is also witnessed by the s^d Michael Meagher and Thomas Watkins of the city of Dublin gent
