Transcription:
A memorial of an indenture of assignment dated the seventh day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy between
William Lyon of number three parliament street in the city of Dublin druggist and chemist and
Ellen Lyon otherwise North his wife
Henry Lyon of number sixty seven Great Britain street in the city of Dublin druggist and
Arabella Lyon otherwise North his wife and
Rachel Wilson of Proudstown House
of the one part
and Mathew Houghran of Kilbride in the King’s county farmer of the other part
said indenture
recites that the Right Honorable Charles William Viscount Charleville of Charleville Forest in the King’s county by one indenture of lease under his hand and seal duly executed bearing date the twenty third day of January one thousand eight hundred and one for the considerations therein mentioned
did demise and to farm let unto Margaret Ridley her heirs and assigns all that and those the two houses back yard and gardens in Pound street Tullamore measuring in front seventy feet and is two hundred and ten feet deep on the east side containing thirty three perches and one hundred and eight feet plantation measure be the same more or less as the same is described on a map thereunto annexed situate in the Barony of Ballycommon and King’s county to hold unto the said Margaret Ridley her heirs and assigns for the lives therein mentioned and for the life and lives of all and every such other person or persons as by virtue of the covenants in said indenture contained should from time to time for ever be added at the yearly rent of two pounds twelve shillings and six pence
and said indenture further recites that their undivided shares under said indenture of lease now vest in
the said William Lyon and Ellen Lyon otherwise North his wife
Henry Lyon and Arabella Lyon otherwise North his wife
and Rachel Wilson
and that they in consideration of a sum of sixty pounds sterling to them in hand well and truly paid at or before the sealing and delivery of said indenture of assignment
granted bargained sold released confirmed and assigned over to the said Mathew Houghran all that and those one of the aforesaid two houses in Pound street in the town of Tullamore now known as William street in which the said Margaret Ridley formerly resided and Francs Ridley more recently resided and in which Mr Luke Horan the son of the grantee in said indenture of assignment now carries on the business of draper and Spirit merchant bounded as in said indenture of assignment is mentioned and said premises are situate lying and being in the town of Tullamore Barony of Ballycommon and King’s county
The execution of which said indenture by all the parties thereto is witnessed by Robert English of the King’s county petty sessions clerk
and the execution of this memorial by the said Mathew Houghran is also witnessed by the said Robert English and by William Darcy Dowling of Tullamore in said county solicitor
