A memorial of articles dated the sixth day of augst one thousd seven hund & sixty made between

Jn North of Fairfield in Ye King’s Co gent of Ye first part 

Roger North of Ye city of Dublin ironmonger of Ye secd part

Deborah Leland spinster third daur of Robt Leland late of the sd city mercht decd of the third part

Thomas Mockler of Ye city of Dublin jeweler & Thomas Bond of the same city tobacconist of the fourth part

reciting among other things .. a marr was intended to be had & solemnized between the sd Roger North & Deborah Leland

by wch articles Ye sd Jn North did grant release & confirm to the sd Edwd Mockler & Thomas Bond all Ye part of Ye town lands of Kilbride known by the name of Whitewell & then in posesion of Ye sd Jn North contg in Ye whole two hund & forty acres be the same more or less sit & lying & being in Ye boe of Fertullagh & co of Westmeath with the appurts

held under lease for lives renewable forever dated Ye twenty secd day of July one thousd seven hund & fifty seven made by Thomas Smith esqr to Ye sd Jn North in Ye sd articles recited

in trust & to & for the use of Ye sd Jn North his heirs & asss until the solemnizatn of the sd marr & from & after the solemnization thereof therein trust to permit the sd Roger North & his asss

during the life of Ye sd Jn North provided the sd Roger North shall so long live

to receive & take to his & their use one annuity or yearly rent charge of forty pd the same to be paid & payable out of & charged upon the sd lands & prems & to be pd half yearly

& upon further trust & in case the sd marr shd take effect & the sd Deborah shd survive the sd Roger then to permit & suffer Ye sd Deborah Leland & her asss during her life to receive & take one annuity or yearly rent charge of thirty pd ster Ye same to be paid & payable out of & charged upon Ye aforesd lands & prems to be pd half yearly or otherwise

& the sd Deborah shd at her election receive & be intitled unto the sum of five hund pd ster in lieu of the sd annuity in case of such election Yt all & singlr Ye sd lands and prems & also all such estates real freehold & personal shd be subject  & liable to & charged & chargeable with Ye paymt of the sd sum of five hund pd st to and for Ye sd Deborah & her asss

& to Ye further intent Yt in case the sd marr shd take effect Yt the sd Roger shd happen to survive his father the sd Jn then in trust as to Ye sd recited lease and Ye lands & prems thereby demised to Ye use & behoof of the sd Roger North his heirs & asss subject to Ye provision therby made & intended for Ye sd Deborah in case she shd outlive the sd Roger her intended husband
