David North of White Well in the county of Westmeath Esq of the first pt
Cathr Pim of the city of Dublin spinster of the 2 pt &
Elizabeth of the City of Dublin mother of the said Catherine Pim also of the city of Dublin of the 3 pt
Anthony Cooper & John Pim both of the city of Dublin Esq of the 4 pt
… that a marriage was there intended by God’s permission to be …. had and solemnized between the said David North & the sd Cathr Pim
recitg that the sd David was seized and possessed of the town & lands of Upper and Lower Tinnikelly contg 235a. 2r. 2 p plantation measure situate in the Barony of Lower Ormond & Coy of Tipperary, under & by virtue of a lease bearing date the 2 day of Augs 1784 & made between Archibold Armstrong of City of Dublin merchant of the one part & John North of Tyrrellspass in the coy of Westmeath gent of the other part whereby the sd Archibold Armstrong did devise unto the said John North all that & those these parts of the lands of Tinnikelly & Upper & Lower Tinnikelly contg 235 & 3 roods & 2p plantation measure be the same more or less situate lying and being in the Barony of same Ormond & Coy of Tipperary with the --- to hold unto said David North his heirs successors admins & assigns for and during the natural lives or life of Geo Rochfort Hume eldest son of Gustavo Rochfort Hume of Rochfort in the Coy of Westmeath Esq Roger Briggs & Benjamin Briggs sons of Thos Briggs of Tyrrellspass and sd Coy Gent & the longest leasee of them or to the term of 31 years subject to the yearly rent in …. ….. ….. the residues of the tenant interest have been vested in said same David North under & by virtue of the will of Roger North his uncle
and the same David North was also seized under & by virtue of said will of the lands of Clonfree contg 83 acres 1 rood & 5 perches situate in the Parish of Barony of Lower Ormond & Coy of Tipperary by a lease bearing date 23 Feby 1791 made between Henry Thompson of the City of Dublin one part and Roger North of Birr Kings Co of the other part whereby the said Henry Thompson did demise unto the said Roger North his heirs execrs admins & assigns all that part of the town of Clonfree contg 83 acrs 1 rood & 5 perches be the same more or less with the bog & commons whatsr belonging thereto situate in the parish of Langhten Barony of Lower Ormond & coy of Tipperary to hold ... unto Roger North his heirs execrs admins & assigns for the life or lives of Joseph North of Northbrook in the coy of Galway Esqr John North son of John North of Whitewell in the coy of Westmeath Esqr & John Wetherell Thompson son of Henry Thompson of the City of Dublin Esqr or for the term of 31 years which were set … subject to the rent in said lease …
& recitg that sd Cathr was entitled to a sum of money under the will of her father Robt Pim
& recitg that the sd Elizth the mother of said Cathr under the will of her husband Robt Pim to a certain sum of money chargeable upon the lands of Bawnaghera in the Queens Coy which she was then unable to call in she the sd Elizth did agree to give £200 to sd Cathr as a further provision & which she charged said lands of Bawnaghera with to be paid to said Cathr David or the survivor of them at the decease of Elizth
& which articles of which this is a memorial witnessed that for the consdrs therein he the said David North did grant bargain and release & confirm unto the said Anthony Cooper & John Pim in their actual heirs[?] then by virtue of a bargain therein recited & to their heirs & assigns all that and the said lands of Tinnakelly & Clonfree in as full a measure as same was …. by sd articles togr with same lease to hold … unto same Anthy Cooper John Pim their heirs & assigns but subject to the reservations mentioned
and which said articles further mentd that the sd Elizth & Cathr did for the provisions therein mentd grant & make over unto Thos Anthy Cooper John Pim the sd sum of … & £200 same to be paid & applied in such measure as deserves merit
& which sd articles contain a … that the said David North should use his best endeavours to procure the life of sd Catherine Pim his said intended wife to c… in place ... & … of same of the ... in the leases of sd David North was to have a sufficient part … of the marriage portion of said Cathr to enable him to do so & … & advances such could be effective that …. sufficient settlement .. should be had & .. by the said David reciting such need or other purchase in said articles creating sd David tenant for life remainder in a competent part to Cathr his wife remainder to first & other sons in .. males to daughters in the female … right …. of David with a power to David to make leans dispositions … of … in … & not in … & without taking any financial power to sd … to raise portions for younger children not exceeding £200 & in case same cound be effective as … there to most said money in measure in said articles merit
& which articles & this memorial thereof are witnessed by Paul Palmer of the city of Dublin Roger & John Roger North also of the city of Dublin Gent
