A memorial of an indenture made the twentieth day of December one thousand eight hundred and seventy four
between Joseph Pim North of Moyally in the county of Westmeath esqre of the one part
and William Pilkington of Kilbride in the county of Westmeath esqre of the other part
and reciting that by an indenture of lease dated the twenty fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and five [deed 582 258 393193] and made between Joseph North …. of the first part and Mary Elizabeth North then a minor by Mary North her mother and guardian on the other part the said Joseph North for the considerations therein mentioned demised unto the said Mary Elizabeth North to her heirs and assigns all that and those the lands and premises therein
and memoralizing an indenture more particularly mentioned situate in the barony of Fartullagh and county of Westmeath to hold the said premises and appurtanences unto the said Mary Elizabeth North her heirs and assigns from the first day of November then last for the lives and life of the three ceteri qui vis* therein named and the survivors and survivor of these and for such other life and lives as should for ever thereafter be added thereto by virtue of the covenant for perpetual renewal thereinafter contained paying thereout the yearly rent of ninety five pounds of the then currency of Ireland by half yearly payments over and above taxes as therein mentioned
and reciting that all the estate interest and re..ssion [reversion?] of the said Joseph North the lessor in said original lease [perhaps the lease refered to in deed 356 125 238786, whereby Joseph North leased his inherited interest in Kilbride to his brother Roger North; or perhaps the 1805 lease, deed 582 258 393193, whereby he leased it to Mary Elizabeth North] of the premises demised by the said recited lease and the rent thereby reserved had then / within the meaning of the renewable leasehold Conversion Act / legally come to and vested in the said Joseph Pim North party to said memoralizing indenture
and all the estate interest and benefit of renewal of the said Mary Elizabeth North in the said premises had then (within the meaning of the said Act) legally come to and were then vested in the said William Pilkington party to the said memoralizing indenture
And further reciting as therein it was by said memoralizing indenture witnessed that in presence of the …. For pepetual renewal in the said original lease contained and of the provisions of the said renewable leasehold conversion Act and of the fee farm rent theereinafter reserved and made payable
he the said Joseph Pim North did thereby grant unto the said William Pilkington and to his heirs and assigns all that and those that part of the lands of Kilbride called the East Division situate in the barony of Fartullagh and county of Westmeath … the same was laid out by a survey made by John Duns containing by estimate ninety one acres three roods and three perches together with all and singular the rights members and appurtanences thereto belonging to hold unto the said William Pilkington his heirs and assigns for ever yielding and paying thereout yearly during the continuance of the grant unto the said Joseph Pim North his heirs and assigns the yearly fee farm rent of eighty six pounds .. shillings and …. sterling being equivalent in present british currency to the said rent of ninety four pounds of the late Irish currency conferred by the land-lease the same to be paid half yearly on every first day of may and first day of November during the continuance of the memoralizing grant by even and equal payments over and above all thaxes charges assessments and impositions whatsoever quit rent and crown rent only excepted the first payment therof to be made on the first day of May next
which said deed and this memorial thereof as to the execution thereof respectively by the said Joseph Pim North are respectively witnessed by Robert Rochfort of Sidebrook Rochfort Bridge in the county of Westmeath gentleman and Patrick Clarke of Hightown or Correltown in said county of Westmeath, farmer,
and which said deed as to the execution thereof by the said William Pilkington is witnessed by the same Robert Rochfort and Patrick Clarke

The above named Robert Rochfort maketh oath and saith that he is a subscribing witness to the deed of which the above writing is a memorial and also to the said memorial . Saith he saw the said deed duly signed sealed and delivered and said memorial signed and sealed by the said Joseph Pim North and saith the name Robert Rochfort subscribed as a witness to the said deed and memorial respectively is the deponent’s proper name and handwriting.
